When the turbulent skies collide with the overflowing seas while taking down trees and power lines, a “lane flooded ahead” warning sign seems like a silly consolation.

Funny how the backdrop of the sky changes the coloring of the day, with gray feeling a lot more comforting and familiar.

I’m not sure what kind of an animal willingly puts itself into dangerous situations (do we not fight enough for our survival? are our adrenaline levels too low?), but I have to say, rollercoasters sure are fun.
